그냥 그저 그런 평범한 답변입니다. 법규에 따른 안전한 소고기만 쓰고 있다... 기타 등등. 뉴라이트 또라이들에게 강력한 조치를 취하겠다는 말은 없습니다. 여러 분이 같은 뉘앙스의 메일을 보냈었기 때문에 본사 내부에서는 말들이 좀 많았겠습니다만...

Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald's. We appreciate being able to take this time to share the following information with you.

This situation is regarding a political protest within South Korea that has absolutely nothing to do with McDonald's. In our restaurants in South Korea and all around the world, we only serve the highest-quality beef that meets our strict safety standards.



All beef sold at McDonald's in the U.S. is USDA inspected and meets USDA and McDonald's own strict specification for food safety and quality. McDonald's standards go above what the USDA requires and McDonald's continually audits their suppliers to verify their safeguards are followed for safety and quality.



At McDonald's, we start with the highest quality beef from the best suppliers in the industry.

Our beef patties are 100-percent pure beef--made of whole muscle and hand-trimmed cuts--with no additives, extenders or fillers. Our suppliers work with our own quality control experts in



plants inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to ensure this beef is produced within our stringent processing and inspection guidelines.



These guidelines--developed with leading health and scientific experts--require all McDonald's suppliers to use our system of proactive and preventative safety checks, from frozen storage that protects product freshness to daily microbial testing of every lot of beef. This means that every day, in every beef-producing plant, key quality and safety control checks are conducted

above and beyond those required by the USDA. Documentation and auditing, which includes cattle health, proper cattle feed, plant sanitation, employee practices, food safety and meat quality, are routinely done to ensure this system is in place. Food safety experts believe this system, which exceeds USDA requirements, is among the most effective method for ensuring the quality and safety of our beef supply. In fact, the USDA and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have recognized us as leaders in this area, and over the years, many of our standards have been adopted for the beef purchased for school lunch programs.

Our quality and safety measures continue at our restaurants, where our managers, trained and certified in food safety, conduct and document rigorous daily verifications to ensure proper cooking and handling procedures are being met. These procedures are also an integral part of our crew training and continue to be reinforced with reference materials posted in the kitchen area. In addition, each restaurant is continuously audited to verify compliance with the proper execution of all established and validated procedures, verification procedures and recordkeeping.

Please know that we are working closely with government officials, scientific experts, and our suppliers to ensure the continued quality and safety of our beef supply. We hope this information helps give you confidence in McDonald's commitment to quality, and to our customers.
